Macfield Construction Pty Ltd - Brisbane QLD

Macfield Construction is looking for an experienced Leading Hand / Site Supervisor to join our team straight away. This is a hands-on role. You'll work alongside the crew, lead them day to day, and keep work on site moving safely, on time and to a high standard. You'll report to the Project Manager / Site Manager.

Key responsibilities
Leading and working with the site crew on daily tasks
Coordinating trades and subcontractors on site
Making sure work matches drawings, specifications and quality standards
Running toolbox talks and keeping SWMS and safety requirements followed on site
Keeping site diaries, timesheets and daily reports up to date
Checking materials and equipment, and raising orders or issues early
Mentoring apprentices and less experienced workers
Reporting progress and any problems to the Project Manager / Site Manager

About you
Proven experience as a Leading Hand, Site Supervisor or in a similar role in construction




A solid trade background and strong practical skills
The confidence to lead a team while staying on the tools
Able to read and interpret plans and specifications
Good knowledge of site safety and WHS requirements
Valuable communication skills and a reliable, organised approach
White Card (General Construction Induction)
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
First Aid or other trade or supervision tickets are highly regarded
