The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to act as Officer in Charge (OIC) for Giles weather station, with a remote posting for about six months. The successful applicant will depart for Giles in March 2027, with a separate September 2027 deployment also encouraged.

Giles is located in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, near Warakurna, 750km WSW of Alice Springs. The OIC will lead a small team, oversee observations, instrument maintenance and data quality, and
