VTG Waste & Recycling is seeking a reliable, hands-on Yard Hand to join our growing team. This role supports the secure handling, movement and storage of packaged and containerised wastes across our site and customer locations.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the safe receival, handling, storage, and dispatch of packaged and listed wastes including drums, containers, IBCs and pallets. You will work as part of a small operational team and follow site procedures and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Load and unload drums, containers, IBCs and pallets
Operate forklifts and other relevant site equipment safely
Inspect packaged waste for condition, labelling and compliance requirements
Segregate and store packaged waste in designated areas in line with procedures
Complete documentation such as checklists, load details and manifests
Maintain clean and orderly storage and operational areas
High-pressure cleaning of containers, drums and bins
General labouring and site support duties

About You




Ability to perform physical tasks and work indoors and outdoors in NT conditions
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Positive attention to detail, including accurate labelling and segregation
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Experience working in waste, logistics or industrial operations

Role Requirements
Forklift License (LF)
Dangerous Goods awareness/experience (desirable)
Spill response awareness and use of spill kits (desirable)
