We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, takes pride in their cooking and has the technical skills and experience to contribute to a high-performing kitchen. The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (or equivalent relevant culinary background).
At least three years of relevant cooking or kitchen management experience, ideally within rapid-paced hospitality environments such as restaurants, bars, cafés, or quick-casual dining.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen operations.
Experience preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients.
An understanding of food safety, hygiene standards and appropriate food storage practices.
The ability to organise and coordinate kitchen activities in a fast-paced workplace.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
The ability to supervise, train, guide and support other kitchen team members.
Good communication, teamwork and time management skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
