Category Lead - Technology | Melbourne CBD
Want to shape how a major infrastructure organisation buys technology?
This is a senior individual contributor role with real commercial influence.
You'll own a high-profile Technology portfolio spanning software, hardware and professional services.
The aim is to move IT procurement from tactical to strategic, under a newly appointed CPO.
What you'll do:
Own Technology spend categories, from category plans and sourcing strategy to negotiation and contract
Lead complex, high-value sourcing events and supplier negotiations from start to finish
Be the trusted commercial adviser to senior stakeholders, using spend data and market insight to drive value and manage risk




Build commercial capability and governance across the procurement team
What you'll bring:
Robust Technology procurement background: category management, strategic sourcing, SOWs and contract negotiation
Sharp commercial judgement and the presence to influence senior stakeholders
Energy, utilities, resources or heavy industry experience and SAP/Ariba exposure highly regarded
