About the Role:
The Virtual Emergency Department provides 24-hour video consultations to patients and healthcare professionals across Victoria.
As aVirtual Registered Nurse, you will:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and triage of adult and paediatric patients via video consultation
Deliver evidence-based healthcare advice within your scope of practice
Facilitate appropriate referrals and care pathways
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary virtual care team
Support patients to access the right care, at the right time, in the right place
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are:
Passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred care
Comfortable making clinical decisions in a fast-paced virtual environment
Adaptable and confident using digital health technologies
Excited by innovation and new models of care
Strong communicators who thrive in a collaborative team environment
To be successful in this role you will have:
A minimum of four years post registration experience as a Registered Nurse
Critical Care post graduate qualification (not a prerequisite but desirable)
Demonstrated ability to independently undertake comprehensive and timely patient assessments (adult and/or paediatric)
Demonstrates advanced critical thinking skills to determine safe and accurate patient triage category and plan of care
Advanced IT and trouble shooting skills




Must be able to work a rotating roster including weekends and nightshifts
Permanent full-time or part-time but must be able to commit to a minimum of 0.4EFT (32hr/fortnight)
