The Opportunity
Sands Fridge Lines is seeking an experienced and motivated
HC Driver / Team Leader
to join our Midwest Operations based in
Geraldton
.
This is a hands-on leadership position that combines professional driving responsibilities with the day-to-day coordination of our Geraldton depot operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of freight throughout Geraldton and the wider Midwest region while providing leadership and support to a small local team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Operations Team,



your duties will include:
Protected and professional delivery of freight throughout Geraldton and surrounding regional areas
Acting as the primary point of contact for the Geraldton depot
Providing leadership and support to a small local team
Coordinating daily transport and depot activities
Monitoring and recording product temperatures in accordance with company and customer requirementsEnsuring all delivery documentation and transport paperwork is accurately completed
Operating electric and manual pallet jacks
Performing customer deliveries, including hand unloads where required
Reading and interpreting load plans, manifests, run sheets, and job documentation
Maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency
Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A current and valid
HC Driver's Licence
Previous experience operating HC vehicles in a transport or distribution environment
Demonstrated leadership experience or the ability to lead and support a small team
Strong organisational and communication skills
The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
A commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Experience with freight handling and load restraint practices
A strong customer service focus and professional attitude
Desirable but not essential:
Current WorkSafe High Risk
LF Forklift Licence
Experience within refrigerated transport, FMCG, or food distribution operations
