Main Street Medical Centre is a large, family oriented General Practice in Murwillumbah – Northern NSW.
We're looking for a caring and capable Medical Receptionist to join our team. You will work in a friendly, vibrant and busy workplace providing quality healthcare and exceptional customer service to our patients.
This is a part time position offering 2/3 days per week , with flexibility to cover annual/personal leave as required.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and manage phone, email and in-person enquiries.
Coordinate appointments, patient check-in/check-out and daily reception flow.
Process billings, payments, receipts and patient account information accurately.
Maintain patient records, correspondence, scanning and filing in line with privacy requirements.
Work collaboratively with doctors, management and the wider team.
What we're looking for




Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively while ensuring accuracy.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team workplace.
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right person
Knowledge in using Best Practice management software, AutoMed , eftpos/Tyro is desirable but not essential.
