We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Installer to join our team for **** in Townsville, QLD ****.
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for the professional installation of custom and pre-manufactured cabinetry in residential and commercial settings.
As a Cabinet Installer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality finished projects that meet our clients' expectations and reflect our company's commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.
Excellent variety of projects from basic installs to large commercial projects.
This is a full-time position based on-site in the Townsville area.
Occasional travel to out of town jobs as required.What you'll be doingInstalling cabinetry systems in kitchens, bathrooms and other residential and commercial spaces to Australian standardsReading and interpreting technical drawings and installation specifications to ensure accurate placement and installationMonitoring and updating job management software on a daily basisMeasuring, cutting and fitting cabinetry components to suit varying site conditions, layouts and client specificationsUsing hand tools, power tools and specialised equipment to assemble,



adjust and install cabinet units safely and efficientlyLiaising with clients and other tradespeople on-site to coordinate installation schedules and resolve any site-specific challengesInspecting completed installations to verify quality standards and addressing any defects or adjustments requiredMaintaining a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulationsProviding guidance to apprentices, labourers or junior installers as requiredWhat we're looking forA recognised apprenticeship or formal qualification in cabinet making, carpentry or a related tradeConstruction Industry White CardMinimum 3-5 years' hands-on experience installing cabinetry in residential and/or commercial environmentsMust have own tools and be proficient with all tools and specialist equipment used in cabinet installationStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation specifications accuratelyExcellent measurement and spatial reasoning skills to ensure precision fitting and alignmentSolid understanding of building standards, health and safety requirements and best practices in the joinery industryPhysical capability to lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy cabinet components and materials safelyStrong problem-solving skills to adapt to varying site conditions and client requirementsReliable, punctual and professional approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent C class driver's licence and willingness to travel to various installation sites within the Townsville area and beyond - MR truck licence is favourableExperience with Solid surface products and compact laminate is favourable
