Workfast is looking for a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join the workshop team of a leading engineering company in Chipping Norton.
Location: Chipping Norton, NSWPay Rate: $***** per hour + Overtime + SuperHours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pmStart Date: ASAP
This is a hands-on role involving the fabrication, welding, repair, and modification of structural and heavy components used in rail and industrial applications.
The position offers consistent full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent role.
What You'll Be Doing
Fabricate, weld, and modify heavy components used in rail and heavy engineering applications
Perform MIG, TIG, and MMAW welding to strict industry standards
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications accurately
Conduct structural inspections, gouging, grinding, and defect repairs
Assist with general workshop tasks and maintain a clean, safe work area
Safely operate workshop machinery, overhead cranes, and hand/power tools
About You
Trade-qualified Boilermaker / Heavy Fabricator (Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
Strong heavy engineering aptitude and hands-on workshop experience
Experience in structural steel fabrication, component repair, and welding (rail, mining,



heavy transport, or industrial)
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high-quality workmanship
Forklift licence and overhead crane ticket (preferred but not essential)
