Faculty Research Manager | Two-Month Temporary Assignment | Brisbane location, ideallyA respected national university is looking for an experienced research administration professional to lead its Faculty research function for about two months while a fixed-term appointment is finalised.
Starting as soon as possible, you will keep research activity moving through one of the busiest times of the academic year.What you will do:Manage the Faculty research budget and funding programs, including grants, fellowships and scholarshipsAct as Executive Officer to the Faculty research and research training committees, preparing agendas, papers and minutes and tracking actionsSupport academics to identify funding opportunities and prepare quality grant applicationsPrepare research reports and maintain Faculty research dataAdvise academic staff and higher degree by research students on research policy, process and ethics approvalsLiaise with the central Research Services team and senior academic leadersSupervise one Research OfficerWhat you will bringExperience in the education industry (essential), ideally in a universityResearch administration experience covering grants, research budgets, committee support or research reportingStrong working knowledge of research funding schemes, research training and ethical conduct of researchSharp data,



reporting and organisational skills, and the confidence to get up to speed quickly with little hand-holdingThe details:Higher Education Worker Level 8, with strong Level 7 candidates also consideredApprox two months, starting immediatelyFull time preferred; three to five days per week consideredHybrid working, with up to two days per week from homeBrisbane preferred; candidates in other states are welcome to applyWhy Dixon:Our Higher Education Division places professional staff across universities nationally.
