They are now looking for a Electrical Project Engineer to join their capex team working on exciting projects.The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplined team, with proven experience also performing project manager duties leading a team.
A degree qualified Electrical Engineer is required for the project project/s opportunities as briefed below.

Typically process line equipment upgrade including electrical and automation equipment.TasksInput to all phases of a project within the electrical scope of services as required by the Project Manager/EngineerDefine the system's global architecture and prepare project feasibility assessments from an electrical and automation standpointDesign of electrical and automated control systems including Human Machine Interface (HMI) developmentEnsures full compliance of work undertaken according to relevant company standardsSelects the appropriate technology for projects (PLC, Drive, Instruments, Sensors, Valves, Actuators, MCC, Motors, etc.) and ensures that they are fully compatibleDesign drawings for construction of the physical components of electrical and automation systems including, but not limited to the following:Single Line Diagrams, Motor Control Schematics/specifications,



Control panel layout & designElectrical power distribution systems design and specificationI/O wiringLoop drawingsNetwork system designPrepare technical reports and client correspondences/presentations to project stakeholdersReview and prepare detailed specifications and contract documents for procurement of major electrical and controls equipment as well as construction document packagesActively involved and responsible for installation and commissioning of electrical work packages for specific capital projectsExperience & SkillsElectrical engineering background with an associated degree in engineeringMinimum 8 years relevant industrial experience (safety systems, safe system of work documentation, contractor supervision, equipment commissioning, project close out, etc).
Electrical engineering background, strong electrical design experience (Instrumentation and PLC systems background would be an added bonus)Minimum 8 years relevant industrial experience (with knowledge of and work demonstration of safety systems, safe system of work documentation, contractor supervision, equipment commissioning, project close out, etc – must have knowledge of AS**** – machine safety and also AS**** for electrical installations/wiring rules.Demonstrated experience in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary teamExtensive experience in reading, designing, or troubleshooting P&ID; and electrical diagramsKnowledge of various industrial communication protocolsEngineering Registration RequirementsThe Professional Engineers Registration Act ****(the Act) commenced on 1 July ****.The Act requires you to be registered with the Business Licensing Authority (BLA)to provide qualified engineering services in a prescribed area of engineering in Victoria, or from a location outside Victoria, if the services are intended for Victoria.See ********************************************************************************* for further details.Candidates must be currently registered to provide professional engineering services in Victoria or be a Chartered Engineer and able to become registered on appointment.TimeframesDuration of 12 months initially with potential to extend based on performance and work load
