The Legal Counsel provides practical legal support on legal, regulatory and commercial matters.
The role independently reviews, advises on and negotiates contracts on standard terms and third-party terms in line with playbooks, with escalation of complex, novel or high-risk issues to Senior Legal Counsel or the Head of Legal.Whatyou'llbe doing day-to-dayProvide timely advice on straightforward legal and regulatory issues, applying playbooks, precedent positions and risk guidanceReview, advise on and negotiate customer, supplier and operational contracts on standard and third-party terms independently within agreed boundaries.Identify non-standard or higher-risk positions and elevate with clear options, recommendations and impact assessmentPartner with sales, commercial, operational, finance and delivery teams to support transactions and business objectivesCreate or update guidance notes, clause positions,



checklists and FAQs for recurring legal issuesManage allocated matters from intake to completion, including status updates, document control and closing actions.Whatyou'llbring to this roleQualified lawyer with 2-5 years PQE, preferably including in-house or commercial contracting experienceAbility to work independently but know when to elevateStrong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsStrong commercial judgement and practical risk-based adviceStrong communication skills including across a varied stakeholder groupOrganised approach to matter management and competing prioritiesComfort with legal workflow, CRM and document management systemsAbility to adapt to recent and complex areas of law and regulationAbility to learn quickly.
