About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a passionate and driven Engineering Team Leader to join the Hilton Foods Team!
Based at our Heathwood site, the Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for managing the daily operations within the Engineering department and driving continuous improvement across the Engineering function to provide Good Manufacturing Processes that comply with Health and Safety standards.
Lead the day to day operations of the entire operational Engineering team




Manage financial and productivity performance of the workshop including preparation of budgets, capital applications, daily controls and targets within the company's guidelines
Oversee scheduled work to ensure efficient utilisation of labour, equipment and resources to effectively deliver the services required by facility
Coaching team members to deliver required service levels
Assisting with the identification and evaluation design and process issues, root cause analysis and implementation of relevant solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
Create and document design and/or process change, preparing test plans and protocols, executing protocols and reports
About you
We're
seeking a confident and proactive leader who is ready to take the next step in

You'll be responsible
for setting clear expectations, providing guidance and mentorship to
engineering staff, recognising strong performance and addressing areas
requiring improvement.
Leading by example, you'll demonstrate accountability
for decisions and outcomes while fostering a positive, engaged and
high-performing team culture focused on achieving operational and business
objectives.
Along with this, you'll have the following:
Relevant
and valid Trade certificate
Demonstrated
trade skill experience in an FMCG or Manufacturing environment is
advantageous
Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional
problem solving skills at pace,



organisational and planning skills, backed
by a good technical and practical understanding
Able
to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/innovative approach to
problems and opportunities
Valuable
understanding of GMP and OHS requirements
