With a planned return to longwall production by Q******, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mine restart and help shape the future of underground mining.Working alongside experienced professionals, you will play a role in implementing leading-edge technology, automation, monitoring systems and operational improvements that will define how the mine operates for years to come.As a Mine Trades Technician Mechanical, you will support the safe and reliable operation of underground coal mining equipment through planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
Working closely with experienced tradespeople, you will build strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills while contributing to installations, change-outs and rebuilds of mechanical equipment.
The role requires a strong safety focus, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying equipment defects and improvement opportunities, all while accurately completing maintenance documentation and participating in site safety and continuous improvement initiatives.Key responsibilities, but not limited toCarry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground coal mining equipment, including conveyors, pumps, diesel equipment and fixed plantWork alongside experienced tradespeople to develop strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilityAssist with mechanical installations, change-outs and rebuilds in an underground environmentInterpret maintenance instructions,
