Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer – Civil Structures (Dams & Bridgeworks) Location: Brisbane, QLD (Northside) Build structures, not spreadsheets.
A well-established Queensland civil contractor is growing its delivery team and is looking for Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to join the team.
This is a self-performing business.
We build our own work with our own crews, which means you'll be close to the action, close to decision-makers, and accountable for real outcomes.

The work Our projects are structures-focused: concreting, dams, bridgeworks and related civil structures.
This is not a roadworks role.
What you'll be doingPlanning and delivering formwork, reinforcement and concrete (FRP) packages on structures projectsManaging subcontractors, suppliers, procurement and site-based crews alongside our self-perform teamsRunning programme, cost tracking, variations, EOTs and RFIsDriving QA/ITPs,



safety systems and compliance on siteWorking closely with the Project Manager and site leadership to deliver safely, on time and on budgetSenior PE: mentoring junior engineers and taking ownership of larger work packagesAbout youCivil engineering degree (or equivalent) with civil construction experience on the contractor sideHands-on, self-performing experience, ideally in FRP, concrete or structuresBackground with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor (we're not looking for Tier 1 or consulting-only backgrounds)Strong commercial awareness: costs, variations, subcontract managementSolid understanding of QA, safety and site complianceConfident communicator who's comfortable on siteHighly regardedDams, bridgeworks or major structures experienceWindfarm or renewable energy civil experience (a bonus, not a requirement)What's on offerHands-on projects with real responsibility and visibilityA tight, self-performing business with a solid delivery cultureCompetitive package: $140,000 - $190,000 plusCareer progression into senior project leadershipApply now, or call James McLaughlin on ************ for a confidential chat.
