Permanent Government opportunity | Perth CBD | Circa $120,000 + superYour new company We are currently partnering with a well-established Perth government organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant into their high-performing finance team.
This is a predominantly financial accounting position, ideal for a technically capable accountant who enjoys being close to the numbers and taking genuine ownership of the month-end process.
The role combines financial reporting, reconciliations and general ledger responsibilities with some hands-on operational accounting.
Reporting into an experienced Finance Manager, you will work within a collaborative team environment where accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement are highly valued.
The organisation offers genuine flexibility, including the ability to work from home once established, alongside flexible start and finish times.Your recent role Taking ownership of the end-to-end month-end processPreparing journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliationsCompleting bank and profit and loss reconciliationsProducing accurate monthly reporting through to trial balanceMaintaining the integrity of the general ledger and fixed asset registerSupporting statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit requirements and year-end processesAssisting with accounts receivable and other operational accounting activitiesIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes,



controls and efficienciesWhat you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will be a CA, CPA or equivalent qualified accountant with strong financial accounting fundamentals and demonstrated experience owning month-end processes from start to finish.
