We're partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant into a newly created position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a high-visibility role with significant ownership, international stakeholder exposure and the prospect to help shape future finance processes.The OpportunityThis role offers the best of both worlds, providing the opportunity to either be based in Ballarat or work on a hybrid basis from Melbourne, with a minimum of two days per week onsite. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on consolidations, audit support and technical accounting.Key responsibilities include: Leading quarterly and annual group consolidation processesPreparing consolidation schedules and supporting reporting packsManaging month-end and year-end reporting activitiesSupporting annual audit requirements and responding to audit queriesApplying IFRS accounting standards to complex reporting mattersBuilding strong relationships with local and international stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controlsAssisting with technical accounting research and financial statement disclosures About YouTo be successful, you will bring: CA qualified (or CPA with strong technical reporting experience)Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and consolidationsStrong knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting StandardsExperience supporting external audit processesAdvanced Excel capabilityExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, hands-on and collaborative approachPrior experience with Pronto advantageous however not essential You will enjoy working in a close-knit team environment and be comfortable partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.What's On Offer?
