We're partnering with an innovative Australian technology organisation working with large volumes of high resolution geospatial data to develop intelligent solutions for understanding and analysing the physical world.

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with spatial data, particularly LiDAR, point clouds, aerial imagery and remote sensing datasets.

This is an opportunity to get involved in some technically engaging work, where the challenge isn't simply collecting information, but understanding it, improving it and finding new ways to extract value from it.

Whether you're an experienced LiDAR professional, geospatial analyst, spatial data scientist or someone with a strong background in remote sensing, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

The Opportunity

You'll work with complex geospatial datasets, helping transform raw spatial information into accurate, structured and commercially valuable data.

The role combines hands on data processing, spatial analysis, data modelling and the development of smarter ways to manage and interpret large volumes of information.

You'll be working with detailed representations of physical environments, identifying patterns, extracting features and improving the quality and usefulness of spatial information.

There is also scope to explore how automation, advanced analytics and emerging AI technologies can improve the way geospatial data is processed and used.

What You'll Be Doing

- Processing, analysing and interpreting large scale LiDAR, point cloud and remote sensing datasets.
- Working with high resolution aerial imagery and spatial information to identify features, patterns and relationships.
- Developing and improving workflows for spatial data preparation, classification, validation and quality assurance.
- Extracting meaningful information from complex 3D datasets.
- Building and refining spatial data models to support analysis, reporting and commercial applications.




- Integrating different geospatial datasets to create accurate and consistent information.
- Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive data processing and analytical tasks.
- Applying statistical and computational techniques to improve data accuracy and processing efficiency.
- Supporting the development of digital representations of infrastructure, terrain and natural environments.
- Working with technical specialists to turn raw spatial data into practical insights and solutions.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who understand geospatial data and enjoy the technical challenges involved in working with it.

Your experience might include:

- LiDAR and point cloud data: Processing, classification, filtering, segmentation and feature extraction.
- Geospatial data analysis: Working with spatial datasets, identifying relationships and interpreting geographic information.
- Remote sensing: Analysing aerial imagery, elevation data and other remotely captured information.
- Spatial data management: Data quality, validation, transformation, integration and optimisation.
- 3D spatial modelling: Working with terrain models, surface models, point clouds and digital representations of physical environments.
- Data analytics: Using mathematical, statistical or computational techniques to identify patterns and extract useful information.
- Spatial programming: Using Python, SQL or other languages to manipulate, process or analyse geospatial datasets.

You don't need to be an expert in every area. We're particularly interested in people with strong spatial data knowledge and the curiosity to explore new approaches.

Additional Experience We'd Value

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:





- Working with large or complex LiDAR datasets.
- Point cloud classification and automated feature extraction.
- Spatial data formats including LAS, LAZ, GeoTIFF and other geospatial formats.
- Tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, PDAL, CloudCompare or equivalent technologies.
- Spatial databases and large scale data processing environments.
- Digital terrain models, elevation models and 3D spatial datasets.
- Data integration across multiple geospatial sources.
- Python based data processing and workflow automation.
- Machine learning or AI applied to geospatial datasets.
- Cloud based data storage, processing and analytics.
- Experience working with energy infrastructure.
