Assistant Manager / 2IC – Family-Owned Pub | Genuine Development Opportunity

About the Role
A outstanding opportunity for an ambitious hospitality manager to step into a genuine 2IC role within a successful, family-owned and operated pub.

This is a multi-faceted operation with a strong gaming business, ranking among the top 10 venues for gaming revenue, alongside recently renovated bistro and functions spaces. The next focus is continuing to develop the food, beverage and functions offering, and we're looking for someone who wants to play an active role in making that happen.

Working closely with the General Manager and owners, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of running the business. From managing daily operations and leading shifts through to ordering, rostering, responding to function enquiries and taking ownership of the F&B; operation, you'll gain genuine exposure to the responsibilities that come with running a venue.

You'll also be trusted to take the reins in the GM's absence, making decisions and keeping the business moving.

About You
We're looking for a capable hospitality manager who takes pride in running a good venue and wants to keep developing their operational and commercial skills.

You'll ideally have:

- Experience as an Assistant Manager,



Duty Manager or similar within a busy pub or multi-faceted hospitality venue.
- Confidence running shifts and taking responsibility for day-to-day operations.
- An understanding of ordering, stock control, rostering and general venue administration.
- The ability to build relationships with customers, staff and suppliers.
- An interest in developing the F&B; and functions side of the business, including responding to enquiries and helping convert new business.
- The maturity and reliability to take charge of the venue when the GM is away.
- A positive, hands-on attitude and a genuine interest in learning how to run the entire business.

You don't need to know everything already. What's more important is that you're dependable, commercially minded and keen to take on more responsibility.
