Pembroke Trading Pty Ltd, located in Hemmant QLD 4174, is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter for a permanent full-time position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry activities associated with building construction, installation and maintenance. The role involves interpreting construction drawings, measuring and preparing materials, assembling and installing timber structures, and ensuring all work meets relevant building specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, construction plans and technical specifications.
- Measuring, marking, cutting and shaping timber and other construction materials using hand and power tools.
- Constructing, assembling and installing timber frameworks, wall frames, roof structures and other building components.
- Installing doors, door frames, skirting boards, architraves and other timber fittings.
- Constructing and installing flooring systems, partitions and internal structural elements.
- Setting out and assembling timber components to ensure accurate alignment and structural integrity.
- Inspecting and repairing existing timber structures, fixtures and fittings as required.
- Selecting appropriate materials, tools and construction methods for assigned carpentry tasks.
- Checking measurements,



levels and finished work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Coordinating carpentry activities with other tradespeople and construction personnel.
- Maintaining tools, machinery and equipment in safe working condition.
- Following applicable building codes, workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements.

About You
- Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant skilled experience as a Carpenter.
- Demonstrated experience in timber framing, construction and installation work.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using carpentry hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, building materials and workmanship standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to measurements and specifications.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other construction personnel.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
