Why GPs move to the Highlands

This is the part metro GPs underestimate. Mittagong is a 15-minute drive to work through countryside, a house with land for what a Sydney unit costs, and a school run that doesn't involve the M5. Bowral's restaurants and galleries are ten minutes away, Bowral and District Hospital the same. Sydney is 90 minutes by road or rail when you want it — close enough for family and football, far enough that you've actually left.

If you've been thinking about a change but didn't want to go six hours west to get it, this is the version that keeps you connected.

You’ll need

FRACGP or FACRRM with AHPRA specialist registration, and Medicare provider number eligibility.
