The Head of Palliative Care Research provides leadership of a territory-wide multidisciplinary research program based at Clare Holland House and North Canberra Hospital. The role is responsible for advancing research activity across palliative care services, identifying new research opportunities, and strengthening collaborations that support improved patient and service outcomes.

Working closely with clinicians, researchers and academic partners, the successful applicant will oversee a diverse portfolio of clinical and non-clinical research projects. The role maintains strong links with local and national research organisations and contributes to the ongoing development of palliative care evidence and practice. Research activities may extend across hospital, community, aged care and rural settings.

Opportunities for part-time or clinician academic (part-time clinical and part-time academic) roles will be considered for appropriate candidates.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the productive administration of the service.
