Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced Data Test Lead with strong expertise in ETL, Data Warehouse, and BI report testing to lead the data validation efforts across our data integration platform. The candidate should have robust SQL skills, experience in ETL tools, and hands-on knowledge of data warehousing and reporting validation. The role requires working closely with data engineers, analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and reliable data delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the data testing activities for ETL, Data Warehouse, and BI reporting projects.

Design and maintain ETL test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.

Perform end-to-end ETL workflow testing, including data extraction, transformation validation, and loading verification.

Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across source and target systems.

Develop and maintain SQL or scripting-based automation for data validation and regression testing across ETL pipelines and data warehouse layers.

Validate source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and data reconciliation across multiple systems.





Perform BI report testing and validation, ensuring report data accuracy and consistency with backend data sources.

Conduct MicroStrategy report validation, including testing of report metrics, filters, prompts, aggregations, and drill-down functionalities.

Perform data reconciliation between database tables and BI reports to ensure reporting accuracy.

Conduct data profiling and data quality validation to ensure adherence to data governance standards.

Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and analysts to troubleshoot ETL and reporting issues and perform root cause analysis.

Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ETL pipelines and BI reports.

Track, manage, and report defects, risks, and test metrics using defect management tools.

Ensure ETL processes and BI reports comply with data quality, governance, and compliance requirements.

Provide test status updates, summary reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Mentor and guide junior data testers and ensure adherence to testing standards.

Support production validation and post-deployment data checks when required.
