A segment-leader in a niche sporting goods and apparel market, our client is an Australian brand with a strong national retail presence and an established global footprint that is ready for growth. They are looking for a sales leader to take over from the MD as Global Sales Manager, leading the brand's international sales strategy and commercial results across key markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an entrepreneurial sales professional with a passion for developing teams, winning new business and building strong customer relationships. It will suit someone who understands the differences between the US, UK and European markets and can ensure the brand's premium positioning is delivered through every stakeholder.

The Business

A long established, segment-leading Australian brand, our client has built a robust national retail presence and a global footprint in their sporting goods and apparel space. With a premium positioning and international partners across key markets, the business is ready for its next phase of growth, its Northern Hemisphere business providing the key prospect.

The Role

As Global Sales Manager, you'll take over from the MD to lead the brand's international sales strategy and drive commercial results across the US, UK and Europe, working closely with Marketing, Product and Supply Chain. While the Northern Hemisphere business is the key market (approximately 70% focus), there will also be sales responsibilities in Australia (20%) and New Zealand (10%).

What You'll Own

- Growth of sales in international markets.
- Leading, developing and supporting regional sales teams and customers across global markets, including spending time in-market.
- Developing major strategic accounts,



winning new customers and introducing new channels.
- The global sales P&L;, forecasting and sales strategy execution.
- Driving seasonal range launches and new products with international partners.
- Developing incremental Australian sales opportunities - wholesale and in collaboration with Head of Retail (20% focus).
- Direct accountability for New Zealand sales (10% focus).
- Delivering the brand's premium positioning through every customer and market.
- Collaboration across Marketing, Product, Supply Chain and Retail (Australia).

What You'll Bring

- Ability to combine strategic, commercial thinking with hands-on selling – prepared to meet customers, negotiate and close business.
- Proven international sales leadership experience, ideally in branded consumer products, apparel, sporting or outdoor goods or footwear.
- Entrepreneurship, with proven success developing existing and new B2B business and channels, launching new products and delivering profitable growth.
- Experience with B2C customers/channels.
- Experience in the US market, with experience in other markets ideal.
- An understanding of the differences between each of the key markets.
- Experience leading and developing geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship building and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and time-management skills — managing across regions and time zones is key to this role.
- Willingness to travel as required.
