About the Opportunity:

Our client is an established steel fabrication and engineering business located just outside of Canberra, working across structural steel, architectural metalwork and general fabrication projects.

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Trade Assistants to support a busy fabrication workshop.

This is a full-time wages position, offering hands-on training, varied responsibilities and opportunities to develop a long-term career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting qualified tradespeople with fabrication activities.
- Operating and assisting with workshop machinery and equipment following appropriate training.
- Preparing, moving and organising materials.
- Picking, packing and general warehouse duties.
- Loading and unloading materials where appropriately trained or licensed.
- General workshop cleaning and maintenance.
- Supporting day-to-day production activities.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working workplace.

About You:

- Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, warehouse or hands-on environment is beneficial.
- Comfortable undertaking a variety of physical tasks.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.




- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety.

Previous steel fabrication experience is not essential. We are looking for people with the right attitude who are willing to get involved and learn.
