About the role:

You will work with customers in line with their individual support plans, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and connection with the community. You will build respectful relationships, notice and report changes in a customer’s wellbeing, and keep visit records up to date.

Competitive and above award casual pay rates i.e. Monday-Friday 6am-8pm pay rates starting at between $36.08-$43.03 (Non Cert), $1.10 per km (Transport Supporting Clients). Additional penalties/allowances also paid including some travel time and broken shifts. Possible opportunity to move to permanent part time employment in the future.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Provide light household cleaning, including floors,



bathrooms and kitchens, making beds, changing linen and taking out rubbish.

- Assist with laundry, ironing and meal preparation.

- Offer companionship and social support, including accompanying customers to social activities.

- Provide transport and practical support for shopping and grocery trips, and travel to medical appointments.

- Follow each customer’s support plan and Just Better Care procedures, and promptly share concerns, hazards or changes with the office team.

- Use safe manual handling, hygiene and infection-control practices, and complete visit documentation accurately.

About You:

You are considerate, dependable and respectful, and understand the importance of helping people retain choice and independence. You can work on your own in customers’ homes while staying connected with the wider team. You communicate clearly, take feedback well and are comfortable with the physical tasks involved in light domestic assistance, such as standing, bending, reaching and lifting safely.

Essential Requirements:

- Current Australian driver’s licence and a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or relevant criminal record check.

- Current First Aid certificate and CPR.

- Smartphone with internet access and the ability to use a mobile app for visit records after training.

- Proof of your right to work in Australia.

Experience and Training:

Previous experience in domestic assistance, cleaning, community care, aged care or disability support is an advantage, but a formal care qualification is not essential for this role. Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and a willingness to work towards a Certificate III in aged care or disability care are desirable. Training and guidance will be provided for the duties you undertake.
