THE TRAVEL SHOP IS SEEKING AN IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Location & Contract

Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, Queensland.

On-site preferred, with options for work from home periods.

Casual/part-time roles available, with the potential to upskill into a full time role.

Your Role

- Managing, maintaining and optimising internal IT infrastructure

- Installing, configuring and supporting our internal systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace and collaborative platforms such as Slack and Asana

- Coordinating access to weekly online company meetings

Undertaking in-office operations including management of Wifi, networks, printers and computer troubleshooting.

Managing data storage including NAS drives and cloud storage

- Providing technical support to staff and onboarding setup for recent staff

- Monitoring performance of computer systems and networks

- Ensuring system security through preventive measures and regular maintenance

- Communicating with external IT vendors and service providers

- Assisting in the planning and implementation of IT projects

- Optimizing our systems according to up-to-date technology and IT practices

- Working in a collaborative team environment with high-level responsiveness

Your Profile

Our ideal candidate will have:

- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

- Proven experience in IT systems administration,



particularly with Google Workspace and Microsoft Exchange

- A strong understanding of computer network administration and installation

- Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills

- An ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience working with IT companies looking to scale up operations is preferred
