About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Duct Installer to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be involved in the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of sheet metal ductwork and associated HVAC components across a range of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, specifications and work instructions.
- Measure, mark out and cut sheet metal materials according to project requirements.
- Fabricate, assemble and install ductwork, fittings and associated sheet metal components.
- Shape, bend, fold and form sheet metal using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
- Manufacture duct sections and fittings to required dimensions and specifications.
- Install air conditioning, heating, ventilation and exhaust duct systems.
- Install grilles, diffusers, dampers and other HVAC components.
- Fit brackets, hangers, supports and fixings to secure ductwork installations.
- Seal and insulate duct systems to minimise air leakage and improve system efficiency.
- Connect ductwork to air handling units, ventilation systems and associated HVAC equipment.




- Inspect fabricated and installed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Repair, modify and replace existing ductwork and sheet metal components as required.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers and other trades on site.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Duct Installer, Sheet Metal Worker, or in a related HVAC trade.
- Experience fabricating and installing ductwork and sheet metal components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and installation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- White Card preferred.

- Salary of $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
