Business Development Manager – Energy & Sustainability

$120,000–$150,000 base + vehicle allowance + uncapped commission

We’re looking for a sociable, commercially minded person who can build trust with clients and help uncover opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

A background that could fit

You might come from facilities management, building operations, building services, finance, banking, account management or another role where understanding clients and developing relationships matters.

Experience with commercial and other non-residential buildings would be valuable. We also welcome people with robust transferable skills and an interest in learning about the sector.

You do not need an engineering qualification or deep technical expertise. You do need curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to understand a client’s priorities.

What you’ll do

Build relationships with building owners, operators, facilities teams and other decision-makers.

Create opportunities through networking,



referrals and direct conversations.

Explore clients’ concerns about operating costs, ageing equipment, building performance and sustainability.

Bring in Conservia’s specialists to assess needs and develop suitable solutions.

Maintain momentum through proposals, decisions and agreements.

This is consultative business development. Success comes from understanding the client, recognising where Conservia can help and guiding the opportunity through to a commercial outcome.

The support behind you

You’ll work alongside experienced advisory, engineering and delivery teams. They provide the detailed technical expertise while you develop the client relationship and help explain the value of the proposed solution.

You’ll have autonomy, direct access to leadership and the opportunity to build your knowledge of energy services and sustainability.
