About Us

EGM Build is a family owns construction company based in Fairfield, NSW who specializes in commercial and residential building construction. Our services include formwork supply and install, concrete placement and Reo fixing. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, assessing materials and labour costs, and supporting the effective planning and delivery of construction projects. The selected candidate is required to work 38 hrs per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications and other project documentation to determine project requirements.
- Prepare detailed estimates of labour, materials, equipment and other costs associated with construction projects.
- Analyse construction plans and specifications to determine quantities and prepare cost breakdowns.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, budgets, quotations and tender submissions.
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and service providers.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and project personnel regarding pricing and project requirements.
- Monitor project costs and assist in identifying variations and potential cost implications.
- Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing information and project documentation.
- Assist with tender preparation, contract documentation and procurement activities.
- Review project costs against estimates and provide cost information to management.




- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies while maintaining required construction standards and project specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate should have:

- A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building and Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field; and/or relevant industry experience.
- Previous at least one year experience in construction estimating or a closely related construction role.
- Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, labour requirements and costing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Experience preparing estimates, quotations, quantity take-offs and tender documentation.
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and project teams.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
