Job DescriptionPortfolio Analyst – Utilities/Energy SectorOur client, a major player in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking a Portfolio Analyst with strong financial and reporting expertise to support a portfolio of approximately 30 projects across a complex and evolving regulatory landscape.About the roleThis role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, supporting portfolio-level visibility across a large and varied project base. You'll need the ability to work across multiple concurrent projects at once, drawing on multiple data sources to consolidate reporting and provide explicit, accurate insights to support decision-making, including reporting related to Price Review spend.Key responsibilitiesAnalyse and report on portfolio performance across approximately 30 concurrent projectsApply strong financial analysis skills to track spend, budgets, and performance across the portfolioConsolidate and reconcile data from multiple sources into consistent,



high-quality reporting outputsSupport tracking and reporting of price review related spendBuild and maintain Power BI dashboards to support portfolio reportingManage detailed Excel-based analysis and reportingEngage confidently with a range of internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and present informationAdapt to a complex and emerging regulatory and operational landscapeAbout youStrong financial acumen with demonstrated reporting expertiseProven ability to manage and prioritise across multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated experience as a Portfolio Analyst or in a similar analytical/reporting roleStrong Power BI skills and advanced Excel capabilityExperience working with multiple, disparate data sourcesPrior experience in the utilities or energy sector, ideally with exposure to regulatory price review processesStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiencesA genuine cultural fit with the client's team and ways of working
