About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Community Support Worker to provide ongoing social support and community access assistance to an elderly female client.

The client lives independently and requires support to continue accessing the community safely and confidently.

This is a regular 2-hour shift every Wednesday , ideal for a support worker seeking consistent weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Accompany the client on shopping trips and community outings.




- Provide safe and reliable transport to and from agreed activities.
- Assist the client with accessing shops and community facilities.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Offer appropriate mobility assistance during outings.
- Encourage independence, dignity and client choice.
- Monitor and report any concerns regarding the client's wellbeing.
- Complete accurate progress notes following each shift.

Requirements

- Previous experience in aged care, disability or community support.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification, is desirable.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Access to a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient and respectful approach.
- Ability to work independently and follow individual care plans.
- Availability every Wednesday for a 2-hour ongoing shift.
