About the role

Therian is seeking a talented and driven Equipment Sales Specialist to join our team in Ashmore, QLD. This is a full-time position and a key role within our thriving Equipment Division.

As an Equipment Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our customers, helping them find the best solutions to meet their business needs and the animals in their care.

The expectation of this role is to be proactive, show initiative and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders for the best results for Therian.

What you'll be doing

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers
- Conducting needs assessments to understand customer requirements and propose tailored equipment solutions
- Preparing detailed quotations and proposals for customers
- Negotiating contract terms and closing sales
- Providing excellent post-sales support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and product innovations
- Collaborating with the wider sales and technical teams both at Therian and with our partners to deliver the best outcomes for customers

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a sales or customer-facing role is essential, with a preference for applicants who have demonstrated sales experience. We are open to candidates with moderate sales experience who are eager to develop their skills.
- The ability to understand customer needs is essential. Strong consultative selling skills are preferred, however, we are also interested in candidates who can demonstrate a consultative approach when engaging with clients and delivering programs, products or services that meet their needs.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with customers
- Proficient in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry developments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets
- Some experience within the animal care industry, particularly veterinary or animal shelter environments, will be highly regarded.
- Technical knowledge of veterinary or animal care systems is also highly regarded. This may include experience supporting veterinary teams, working in intensive care (ICU), emergency care or general practice, or demonstrating an understanding of the systems and workflows used in animal care environments.
