Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Vietnamese-speaking Support Worker to provide in-home support to an older male client in the Bankstown area.

A male support worker is preferred due to the client’s personal-care preferences and cultural needs .

This is an ongoing community-based role suited to someone who is patient, respectful and confident supporting older people in their own homes.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide person-centred support that promotes the client’s dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.

Duties may include:

- Personal care assistance, including showering, dressing and grooming
- Mobility assistance and support with safe transfers
- Social support and companionship
- Light domestic assistance as required
- Assistance with daily routines
- Supporting secure movement around the home
- Encouraging independence and participation in everyday activities
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client’s wellbeing
- Completing accurate progress notes following each shift
- Following the client’s care plan and organisational procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Speaks Vietnamese fluently or conversationally
- Has experience supporting older people in home care, aged care or disability services
- Is patient, calm and respectful




- Understands person-centred care
- Is comfortable assisting with personal care
- Can communicate effectively with clients, families and the care team
- Is reliable, punctual and able to maintain a consistent schedule
- Can work independently in a client’s home
- Has good written documentation skills

Experience supporting clients with dementia, cognitive impairment, reduced mobility or falls risk will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent experience
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable registered vehicle
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance
- Working rights in Australia
- Smartphone access for shift documentation
- Appropriate worker screening checks where required
