Reporting to the Head of Financial Control and Reporting, this role will take ownership of key financial accounting, consolidation and group reporting activities, while helping improve and standardise finance processes across the business.

Working closely with Treasury, FP&A;, Tax and Cash Operations, you’ll play an significant role in improving the quality, timeliness and consistency of financial reporting across the Group; subsidiaries and JV companies.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the month-end financial close, including journals, trial balance review, financial statements and reporting dashboards.
- Prepare monthly Group consolidations and support Board and executive reporting.
- Manage reconciliations, balance sheet assurance and financial reporting processes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting, including commentary and variance analysis.
- Own accounting policies and technical accounting updates.
- Oversee transactional accounting activities.
- Drive process improvement, standardisation and better use of finance technology across the Group.





This is an Ideal role for someone with strong financial accounting and reporting experience who enjoys improving processes, working across Finance, and contributing to broader finance transformation.

What you’ll bring

- CA qualified , with strong financial accounting experience.
- Sound technical knowledge of Australian GAAP and IFRS , ideally gained in financial services industry and/or a Big 4 environment.
- Finance management experience, trust and hedge accounting experience a plus.
- Proven ability to improve financial processes, controls and ways of working .
- Exposure to structured finance, securitisation and financial instruments is advantageous.
- Experience with medium-to-large ERP systems, such as Sage Intacct , is desirable.

- Proven people management experience and ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
