Analyse Traffic Data, Optimise Routes and Help Improve Network Efficiency.
Your new company Join a specialist network operations team responsible for monitoring and improving the performance of existing road corridors across the state. Working alongside experienced Route Managers, you'll use traffic data, traffic signal systems and network analysis tools to identify congestion points, monitor route performance and support initiatives that improve traffic flow for road users.
Your new role
- Provide support to Route Managers in the development of measures to improve route performance and optimisation strategies.
- Monitor the operation of traffic signal settings, utilising SCATS (Sydney Co-ordinated Adaptive Traffic System)
- Assist with the production of monthly route performance reports, and identification of performance gaps that require intervention.
- Undertake traffic modelling to ensure individual and networked traffic signals are performing optimally for traffic management purposes.
- Undertake review of development applications, including audit of traffic modelling.
- Assist with analysis and production of Route Operation Plans.
What you'll need to succeed
- Understanding of the traffic & transportation sector
- Sound skill, knowledge, and experience in the use of computer tools, including systems and technical data for analysis
- Sound skill, knowledge and experience in building and enhancing stakeholder relationships.
Desirable
- Understanding of the road traffic signalling systems
- A diploma in Engineering, or Computer Systems, or other relevant discipline
