Venue Manager – Stockade Bar (Tribe Breweries)

Stockade Bar is coming to Goulburn. We’re bringing craft beer and good food together in a laid-back venue built around a shipping container bar and a permanent on-site food truck. It’s a place for an after-work beer, a bite with mates or a weekend catch-up.

We’re looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead the team and help make Stockade Bar a place Goulburn locals come back to.

The opportunity

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of Stockade Bar, overseeing both the bar and the food truck. You’ll help shape how the venue operates from opening, build a team that takes pride in its service and make sure the bar and food truck work together through a busy shift.

You’ll be out on the floor with your team, getting to know the regulars, spotting what needs attention and stepping in when it gets busy.

What you’ll be doing

- Build and lead your team. Recruit, onboard and coach your people, set clear expectations and recognise great work.
- Run the bar and food truck. Coordinate staffing, ordering, prep and service across both operations so guests have a good experience from their first order to their last.
- Keep the venue running smoothly. Manage rosters, stocktakes, cash reconciliation and opening and closing procedures. Keep an eye on labour costs, stock levels and wastage.
- Look after guests. Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service, help people find a beer they’ll enjoy and handle feedback with care.
- Keep the venue safe and organised. Oversee responsible service, food safety,



cleaning and workplace safety across the bar and food truck.
- Build a local following. Get to know the Goulburn community, build relationships with local businesses and run events and functions from booking through to delivery.
- Own the venue’s performance. Manage agreed sales targets and operating budgets, track margins across food and beverage, and work with the brewing, sales and support teams to improve how the venue runs.

What you’ll bring

You’re an approachable leader who enjoys working alongside your team. You stay calm when orders pile up, give clear feedback and know how to keep service moving while making guests feel welcome.

- Experience managing a hospitality venue, bar or taproom.
- Confidence leading a team, building rosters and managing busy service.
- Commercial awareness across stock, labour costs, wastage and margins.
- A practical approach to responsible service, food safety and workplace safety.
- An interest in craft beer and a willingness to share what you know with your team and guests.
- Current RSA accreditation valid in NSW.
- Availability to work across the venue’s trading hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Experience overseeing food service, a small kitchen or a food truck will be highly regarded.
