The Opportunity

Bishopp Outdoor Advertising is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in a newly created role.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and driving improvements. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play an important role in strengthening our financial operations, supporting business decisions and contributing to the next stage of Bishopp's growth.

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply report the numbers but understands what drives them, identifies opportunities for improvement and has the confidence to make recommendations.

This role will suit someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working through complex challenges and takes pride in delivering accurate, meaningful outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Act as a key escalation point for the broader finance team, providing guidance, direction and support in resolving financial and operational challenges.
- Take ownership of key finance activities across Payroll, Accounts Receivable and month-end accounting.
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly management reporting, providing meaningful insights to the Financial Controller and Senior Leadership Team.
- Analyse financial performance, including P&L;, revenue,



volumes and production cost drivers, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and review of annual budgets in collaboration with the Financial Controller and business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies.
- Challenge existing processes and proactively recommend improvements that support the scalability and performance of the business.

To Be Successful in This Role

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and confident in their ability to take ownership.

You will be someone who enjoys autonomy, approaches challenges logically and can balance attention to detail with the bigger commercial picture.

You will bring:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Experience in a similar accounting role, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and turn it into meaningful insights.
- Confidence in making decisions, taking accountability and providing recommendations.
- A proactive mindset, with a natural drive to identify inefficiencies and improve the way things are done.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

Experience using NetSuite would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
