Vista Restaurant at Grammar View Motel is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Vista Restaurant offers a fresh, stylish Modern Australian dining experience, making the most of the surrounding views and showcasing high-quality local produce.

About the Venue

1. Open for Dinner Monday to Friday
2. Room Service available 7 days (Breakfast & Dinner)
3. Up-to-date Australian menu featuring premium MSA steak dishes
4. Fully licensed restaurant with an extensive wine list
5. Professional waitstaff providing wine recommendations and tasting support

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Modern Australian dishes in line with menu standards
2. Manage preparation for à la carte dining and room service (breakfast and dinner)
3. Ensure consistent portion control, presentation, and food quality
4.



Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
5. Assist with menu preparation, stock control, and minimising food wastage
6. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver excellent service

Essential Requirements

1. Compulsory qualification in Commercial Cookery
2. Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
3. Strong knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine and steak cookery
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Strong time management and attention to detail

Employment Details

1. Full-time position
2. Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation
