GF is looking for an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication team in Brendale, Brisbane, making sure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily production and fabrication operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Plan and manage production schedules, workforce allocation,



materials and equipment to maximise operational efficiency.
- Review customer drawings and specifications and own the full work order process from BOM setup to shipping.
- Champion safety and quality: enforce ISO 9000 quality procedures, run audits and training, and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Drive accountability, performance, productivity and continuous improvement across the team.
- Monitor production costs, labour efficiency, material wastage and operational budgets to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations and other departments to optimise production processes, resolve challenges and meet customer expectations.

About you

- Proven leader: experience managing a fabrication, manufacturing or workshop team, ideally in plastic piping or a related industry.
- Technical know-how: confident reading 3D/2D CAD drawings, isometric piping drawings, BOMs and specifications.
- Commercially strong: solid profit and loss (P&L;) experience and a track record of running projects on time and on budget, with strong organisational and admin skills (work orders, ERP, procurement, scheduling).
- Great communicator: a coach and relationship builder who works well with customers and colleagues across the business.
