Business Show Media is looking for motivated, confident and target-driven Sales Development Representatives to join our growing Sydney team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in appointment setting, recruitment, telesales, customer-facing sales or business development who wants to develop their career within an international events business.

You'll play an important role in generating new business opportunities, engaging potential clients and arranging high-quality meetings for our commercial team.

The Chance

You'll be working at the beginning of our sales process, identifying prospective exhibitors and sponsors and starting conversations with business owners and senior decision-makers.

You'll develop valuable skills in prospecting, qualification, relationship building and commercial communication, with a clear route into a full Sales Executive position.

What You'll Be Doing

- Researching and identifying prospective exhibitors and sponsors
- Generating new business opportunities through outbound calls
- Engaging prospects through email and LinkedIn
- Building relationships with founders and business owners
- Introducing our international exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities
- Understanding potential client requirements
- Qualifying prospects and identifying commercial opportunities




- Booking meetings for the sales team
- Maintaining prospect pipelines and following up with leads
- Recording activity accurately within our CRM
- Achieving individual appointment and activity targets

Who We're Looking For

- Previous experience in sales development, recruitment, appointment setting or business development is advantageous
- Confident telephone communication
- Comfortable speaking with new people and senior professionals
- Strong organisation and time management
- Resilience and a positive attitude
- Target-driven and motivated by results
- Coachable and keen to develop
- Ambitious and interested in progressing into a closing sales role
