Part of a large, established national organisation, they are committed to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to the communities they serve./n /n About the Prospect/n /n Full-Time Registered Mental Health Nurse positions are now available across multiple locations in regional Victoria and Melbourne’s western metropolitan area. Part-Time arrangements may be available upon discussion./n /n Reporting to the Health Services Manager, your primary objective will be to enhance suicide prevention programs and strategies within the centre./n /n Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/n /n /n
- Defining and maintaining the standard of nursing practice within the centre /n
- Developing mental health nursing care plans for prisoners with a P rating /n
- Coordinating and undertaking physical and mental health assessments on all new receptions /n
- Developing and implementing suicide and self-harm strategies, and regularly assessing their effectiveness /n Salary on offer/n /n /n
- Full-Time: $112,736.53 p.a. /n
- Part-Time: $54.20 p/h /n Skills & Experience/n /n To succeed in the role, you will have:/n /n /n




- Completed Psychiatric Registered Nurse training /n
- Current AHPRA registration /n
- Professional post-graduate experience as a Psychiatric Nurse /n
- Competence in medical emergency response, physical assessment, crisis intervention, and medical and psychiatric nursing care (venipuncture preferable) /n
- The ability to work without direct, immediate supervision when performing psychiatric evaluations /n
- The ability to provide appropriate follow-through treatment /n
