Introduction

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Technical Pavement Engineer to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor in Auckland, New Zealand.
In this role, you will provide technical support across pavement engineering, asphalt production, and pavement construction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical advice for pavement, asphalt, and road construction projects.
- Investigate and resolve pavement and compaction issues.
- Review asphalt mix designs, pavement materials, and production processes.
- Work closely with laboratories, clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Prepare technical reports and recommend practical solutions.
- Support QA/QC and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Assist project and production teams with technical guidance and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years' experience in pavement engineering, asphalt production,



pavement construction, or a related civil infrastructure environment.
- Strong knowledge of pavement materials, compaction, asphalt mix design, QA/QC, and pavement specifications.
- Experience working with asphalt plants, testing laboratories, or engineering consultancies.
- Ability to identify technical problems, investigate root causes, and provide practical solutions.
- Good communication skills and experience working with clients and stakeholders.
