Role Overview

Experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator Welder required for the fabrication and welding of lifting and transport equipment, including lifting frames, transport frames, winches and lifting beams.
The role involves working primarily with mild steel structural sections, including PFC, universal columns, RHS and SHS. The majority of welding will be flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), with a smaller amount of solid wire MIG welding.
A high standard of welding and fabrication is essential. The workshop places strong emphasis on quality, productivity and presentation, and is seeking someone reliable who takes pride in their workmanship and is prepared to put in a solid day's work.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate and weld lifting frames, transport frames, winches and lifting beams.
- Carry out FCAW welding on mild steel structural components.
- Complete a smaller amount of solid wire MIG welding as required.
- Work with PFC,



universal columns, RHS and SHS sections.
- Complete fabrication and fit-up work to the required specifications.
- Maintain high standards of weld quality, finish and presentation.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow workshop procedures and maintain secure work practices.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Strong boilermaking, welding and fabrication experience.
- High level of competency in FCAW welding.
- Experience working with mild steel structural sections, including PFC, universal columns, RHS and SHS.
- Ability to complete accurate fabrication and fit-up work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable work ethic and ability to maintain productivity throughout the day.
