Hays is partnering with an established Australian engineering and automation business to recruit a Manufacturing Estimator for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Adelaide.
Your new role
Working within the manufacturing team, you’ll support the preparation of estimates and tenders across LV switchboards and electrical automation/control systems. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing material take-offs and BOMs, obtaining supplier pricing and working closely with engineering and project teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Preparing material take-offs, BOMs and cost estimates
- Obtaining supplier pricing and quotations
- Estimating LV switchboards and electrical control systems
- Supporting tender submissions and project handovers
- Working closely with engineering, projects and manufacturing teams
What you'll need to succeed
- Electrical Engineering qualification or electrical trade background
- Experience in estimating, electrical manufacturing, switchboards or automation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/CAD drawings
- Valuable understanding of BOMs, materials and supplier pricing
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Exposure to Expert Estimation would be advantageous
