Welder – | Western Sydney

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Welder to join an established structural steel fabrication business in Western Sydney. You’ll work in a busy workshop producing steelwork for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, and you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in quality work and working safely.

What you’ll do

- Weld structural steel components to drawings and specifications
- Fit up and assemble steel members ahead of welding
- Read and work from fabrication drawings
- Carry out visual checks of your own work to make sure it meets quality requirements
- Follow WHS procedures and keep your work area clean and safe
- Work with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines

About you

- Recognised trade qualification in welding or fabrication,



or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication
- Experience with MIG/flux-core welding, with stick or TIG welding a bonus
- Welding certification to AS/NZS 1554 is highly regarded
- Ability to read drawings and work to tolerances
- Reliable, safety-conscious, with a strong work ethic
- Own transport and the right to work in Australia
