About the Role:

Due to increased workload, an exciting opportunity has become available for an emerging Structural Engineer to join the qualified and close-knit team in the Newcastle office here in Wickham.

This opportunity would be ideally suited to someone who enjoys getting out to site, performing physical inspections, solving real-world problems, and helping our valued clients in a face-to-face environment.

The successful candidate would also be mentored by an experienced team of local experts, performing office-based tasks including: engineering analysis, modelling, simulations, and report writing.

The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to travel to client sites across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley to perform investigations and help formulate practical solutions.

Engineers are encouraged to deepen their expertise working closely with highly experienced professionals and develop into respected technical specialists within their discipline.

To be successful, you will have:

- A structural engineering degree with a passion for structural design, asset integrity, steelwork design and AS 4100
- Previous site-based engineering experience in ports, mining and/or heavy industry
- An aptitude for performing inspections, investigating root causes, uncovering underlying issues, fault finding and troubleshooting
- A genuine commitment to safety
- Design, FEA and drafting/ modelling experience would be highly regarded
