About the chance
A Queensland Government department is delivering a major digital transformation program to modernise how it manages customers, applications and regulatory processes. The program is now in its build stage. It is creating an enterprise ecosystem that includes a customer portal, CRM, a modern data platform and an integration platform, all built on the Microsoft stack.
We’re looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to turn business needs into clear, build-ready requirements and to configure the solution as well. You’ll work in an Agile delivery team alongside architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders to help deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Engaging business stakeholders, SMEs and end users to understand needs and delivery priorities
- Translating business problems into functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process models and configuration specifications
- Configuring Dynamics 365, Dataverse, model-driven apps, business process flows, Power Automate flows and dashboards
- Building prototypes and doing light customisation to validate requirements and demonstrate options
- Facilitating workshops, walkthroughs and playback sessions through discovery and refinement
- Supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage and root cause analysis
- Contributing to business readiness, including process documentation, user guidance and change impacts
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience as a Functional Analyst, Functional Consultant or BA on Dynamics 365 / Power Platform or comparable CRM / case management platforms
- Strong knowledge of D365 Customer Engagement, Dataverse, model-driven apps, security roles and business rules
- Hands-on configuration and light customisation capability
- Experience delivering in Agile teams from discovery through to release and post-release support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including breaking down complex requirements and identifying business rules and risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
Highly regarded
- D365 Customer Service, Project Operations, Customer Insights and/or Power Pages experience
- Government regulatory, licensing, permitting or case management experience
- Azure DevOps experience and D365 / Power Platform / BA certifications
