About the Role:

Excellent opportunity for a Laundry Attendant to join our team at our Parkdale Aged Care on a permanent part-time basis.

We are seeking a reliable, conscientious and caring individual to provide an efficient and hygienic laundry service for our residents and facility. This is a hands on, practical role where the work you do every day directly contributes to the comfort, dignity and wellbeing of our residents.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys a routine, and genuinely cares about making a positive difference, even in the details.

Working Hours:

- Permanent part-time, ongoing shifts
- 8:30am - 1:30pm
- Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:

- Launder resident clothing with care and consideration for each resident’s individual preferences and appearance
- Launder and maintain a sufficient supply of clean, well-presented facility linen for daily requirements
- Provide laundry services in line with individual resident care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to laundry services
- Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Use laundry resources responsibly and cost-efficiently
- Work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Participate in mandatory training and education sessions

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous experience in laundry handling or a similar role
- Sound knowledge of laundry equipment operation and infection control practices
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Previous experience in an aged care facility will be highly regarded

Requirements:

- Current Employment Police Check (Required)
- Australian working rights (Required)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting individual and cultural differences
- Ability to attend compulsory training sessions
